Join OACA’s HEAL Grant Activities – Now Recruiting Participants!

Dear community members and friends,

Wishing you all a happy Dragon Boat Festival!

We are delighted to announce that our recent application to the Asia Pacific Cultural Center (APCC) for the Healthy Environment for All (HEAL) Community Capacity Building Grant has been successfully approved! We extend our heartfelt thanks to Bing Xu and Shaojun Wang for their outstanding contributions during the application process.

Over the next few months, we will use this funding to focus on the following three key initiatives:

1.     Gardening Workshops:
Community members will be invited to participate in hands-on gardening activities to promote mental well-being, physical exercise, and environmental awareness.

2.     Community Education &Engagement:
We will offer lectures and training sessions on topics such as recycling and eco-friendly practices at home, aiming to raise environmental awareness and encourage sustainable lifestyles within the community.

3.     Youth Leadership in Environmental Justice:
This program will provide mentorship, research opportunities, and creative platforms for youth, empowering them to become active leaders in promoting environmental sustainability.

To ensure the success of these activities, we sincerely invite all community members to participate and help us spread the word.

我们很高兴地通知大家，协会此前向亚太文化中心（APCC）申请的 “全民健康环境”（Healthy Environment for All，简称 HEAL）社区能力建设资助项目，已顺利获批！特别感谢许滨和王少俊在本次申请过程中的突出贡献。

在接下来的几个月里，协会将利用这笔资金重点开展以下三方面的活动：

1）园艺工作坊（Gardening Workshops）: 邀请社区成员，参与动手园艺相关的实践活动，促进心理健康、身体锻炼和环保意识。

2）社区教育与参与（Community Education & Engagement）: 通过举办有关回收利用和环保家庭实践的讲座和培训，提升社区环保意识，鼓励可持续生活方式。

3）青少年环境公益领导力项目（Youth Leadership in Environmental Justice）: 为青少年提供导师指导、研究机会及创意平台，鼓励他们投身环保事业，推动环境可持续发展。
