2026 Olympia Dragon Boat Festival and PSE Clean Energy Program
On July 11, 2026, the Olympia Area Chinese Association(OACA) proudly participated in the 2026 Olympia Dragon Boat Festival. Through outstanding teamwork, determination, and the enthusiastic support of spectators, the OACA Dragon Boat Team earned Second Place in the Community Division.
The event showcased the spirit of collaboration, perseverance, and community engagement that defines OACA. Team members worked together with dedication and determination throughout the competition, making the achievement a memorable highlight of the festival.
In addition to racing, OACA volunteers hosted an on-site outreach booth to promote Puget Sound Energy's (PSE) Clean Energy Program. Volunteers shared information about energy efficiency, clean energy initiatives, and sustainable living, encouraging community members to take part in building a greener future. The booth attracted strong interest from attendees and received an enthusiastic response throughout the day.
OACA would like to extend its sincere appreciation to Michael Machado and his Olympia Dragon Boat Club (https://olympiadragonboat.org/) for organizing this amazing event and inviting OACA and PSE for funding OACA (https://www.pse.com/en/pages/in-your-community/powerful-partnerships). Big thanks to Eric Lin and Wenjuan Zhao for capturing the event through their outstanding photography and videography. Special thanks also go to President Fan Zhang and First Vice President Alex Yuanlong Ge for their leadership and coordination of the event. Board members Jun Wang and Mark Ma represented OACA at the PSE outreach booth, helping educate attendees about the Clean Energy Program. Finally, we thank all of our volunteers, team members, supporters, and participants whose dedication made this event a great success.
OACA is committed to continuing its active involvement in community events that celebrate cultural diversity, strengthen community partnerships, and promote environmental sustainability. The Association looks forward to participating in future events that bring people together and contribute to a more inclusive and sustainable community.

2026年7月11日，奥林匹亚华人协会（OACA）参加了2026年度Olympia龙舟赛。比赛当天，协会龙舟队队员们齐心协力、奋勇拼搏，在现场观众热情的加油助威下，最终荣获社区组第二名，充分展现了华人社区团结协作、积极进取的精神风貌。
除了参与精彩激烈的龙舟比赛，协会志愿者还在活动现场开展了普吉特湾能源公司（PSE）清洁能源项目宣传，向社区居民介绍节能减排、绿色能源及可持续发展的相关知识，倡导低碳环保的生活理念。活动吸引了众多市民驻足咨询和互动，获得了广泛关注和积极响应。
