2019 Ethnic Celebration Event
On March 2nd 2019, Olympia Area Chinese Association (OACA) participated in the annual Ethnic Celebration event organized by Saint Martin's University. This is always a great opportunity to introduce our community and culture to the public along with other cultures around the world.
As in the last few years, we also rented an art booth to display Chinese arts and provide activities for promoting Chinese culture. This year, we provided 4 popular activities as follows:
Chinese calligraphy practice using brush and water
Chopsticks practice with a poster showing how to use chopsticks to pick up candies.
Chinese Zodiac stamps for participants based on their birth years.
Translating and writing English name to Chinese on the slip with OACA heading.
