Successful Thanksgiving Celebration Fundraising Event

On December 2nd, 2017, at the Dr. James Koval Performing Arts Center, the Olympia Area Chinese Association (OACA) hosted its first large scale event - The Thanksgiving Celebration of Chinese Arts Performances. Being a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization, we would like to raise funds for local communities. A total of 84 performers have spent months to prepare for this show. We presented 12 performances related to traditional Chinese culture.

We had a very successful event. Our performers and volunteers contributed a lot of time, efforts, and money on the costumes. All of the clothing was sponsored by performers themselves and Mrs. Wendy Seid - the event director who spent more than $600 for clothing, choreographed the dances, and trained groups of performers voluntarily. Some OACA members helped bring the ordered items (souvenirs, clothing, etc) for this event from China, which reduced hundreds of dollars for international shipping fees. That is why the total of the expenses for this event is very low and the beneficiaries can receive more funds.

ADDITIONAL HUGE THANKS TO

The certificate is presented to Mrs. QiXuan (Lara) Wang

and an enthusiastic assistant who helped Ms. Wendy Seid greatly.
