Book Launch Party

On March 11th, 2018, a party was held at The Firs to launch the publishing of the book An American Picture Bride - the story of Ms. Toy Kay (a notable Chinese American elder and the founder of Olympia Area Chinese Association) written with Ms. Janine Gates.

Ms. Janine Gates is a freelance journalist, photographer, and caregiver for seniors in Olympia, Washington. She writes a community news blog, Little Hollywood, at www.janineslittlehollywood.blogspot.com, and serves on the board of the Olympia Historical Society and Bigelow House Museum.
