Inslee announces COVID-19 Immigrant Relief Fund now open for applications

Dear OACA Members,

Gov. Jay Inslee announced, on Oct 21, the Washington COVID-19 Immigrant Relief Fund is open for applications.  See news.  Those with the following conditions may apply for the $1,000 one-time direct payment (up to $3,000 per household).

·        Live in Washington State

·        Be at least 18 years old

·        Have been significantly affected by the pandemic (such as losing work, contracting by the virus, or caring for a family member who contracted the virus)

·        Not be eligible to receive federal stimulus dollars or unemployment insurance money due to immigration status

Applications are open at immigrantreliefwa.org from Oct. 21 through Dec. 6. Benefits will be disbursed by Dec. 28.  This program is administered by Legal Foundation of Washington.

华盛顿州长殷斯理在10/21宣布，移民可以开始申请“华盛顿州移民新冠病毒救济款”，符合以下条件者，请点击immigrantreliefwa.org前往申请。

• ·     年满18岁或以上，及

• ·     住在华盛顿州，及

• ·     因为疫情遇到困难（例如失去工作，得病，照顾得病的家属），及

• ·     因为移民身份未获得过联邦CARES法案的经济影响补助金（又称为“冠状病毒补助支票”），及

• ·     因为移民身份在新冠肺炎疫情期间，无法获得失业保险福利。

申请有效期为10/21至12/6。 福利发放日为12/28。此案系由Legal Foundation of Washington主导受理。
