Announcement - Dance in the Cloud – Chinese Ethnic Dai Dance Class Notice

Dear OACA Members,

Thanks to instructor Li Fang who taught us line dance in the past 10 weeks.  It was really fun.  We are ready for a dance party once the COVID-19 is over.  Going forward, we will take a one-week break, then resume with more for dance lovers!

Title:【Dance in the Cloud - Chinese Ethnic Dai Dance】

Contents：

Dai dance originated in Yunnan Province of China.  It has a strong ethnic style and unique characteristics.  It is sometime light and lively, sometime gentle and delicate.  It is classic and elegant, with rich and varied styles. The gestures, calf, chest, and abdomen of the Dai dance, combined with the ingenious coordination of the eyes, and the rhythm of the soft but steady beats, make it enjoyable both in dynamic rhythm and in static beauty.

Instructor’s background：

Tina/Zhang Xiaoxuan, a top student majored in Dance Choreography, Beijing Dance Academy.  She won numerous awards and medals, including 2006 National Latin Dance Silver Medal, 2007 China Unicom Image Ambassador, 2010 National CCTV Dance Competition third place, 2011 National Army Art Backbone Art Competition Dance Group second place, 2011, Shandong Province Dance Competition first place, 2013 National Sports Bureau CSDA final intermediate, JAZZ competition public group judge, and 2016 CCTV (Central Street League) women's group first place.

感谢李芳老师过去10周的排舞课程，大家跳得乐趣无穷。只待疫情结束，就可以齐聚一堂来跳了。接下去我们将休息一周，然后开始一个新的舞蹈课，爱跳舞的有福了！！

内容：

傣族舞发源于云南，傣族舞风格浓郁，特点突出，或轻快活泼，或温婉细腻，古典雅致，有着丰富多变各种风格。傣族舞的手势，小腿，挺胸，收腹，加上眼神的巧妙配合，以及柔中带钢的韵律，使傣族舞既有动态的韵律美，又有静态的造型美。

本期舞蹈老师：

Tina/张晓萱，北京舞蹈学院，舞蹈舞编专业高材生，2006年全国拉丁舞银牌，2007年联通形象大使，2010年获得CCTV舞蹈大赛全国第三名，2011年全国军队文艺骨干艺术比赛舞蹈组亚军，2011年上东省舞蹈大赛第一名，2013年国家体育局CSDA决赛中级，JAZZ赛大众考级考官，2016年央视（中街联赛）女子组第一。
