Gourmet Kitchen Class Notice 5/22 - Hong Kong Egg Tart 港式蛋挞

Dear OACA Members,

Everyone has had egg tarts.  Egg tart is flaky crumbly outside and sweet creamy in the middle.  It is a desert that brings happiness to everyone.  It is also one of the must-have gourmet desserts in Hong Kong-style tea houses.  Please join chef Nancy to learn how to make authentic Hong Kong-style egg tarts.  Everyone is welcome to observe and to learn!

Today's Dish:【Hong Kong Egg Tart】

Instructor’s background:
Nancy (Mrs. Lin), a native of Zhanjiang, Guangdong Province, is a diligent housekeeper.  She is exceptionally capable and virtuous.  She loves life, is ingenious, and has built a perfect back yard garden.  She also loves making delicately crocheted dolls and exquisite hats, and she makes delicious food too.

Ingredients for crust for 16 egg tarts:

1stick of unsalted butter

1⁄2cup powered sugar

1egg

about150g flour1+½ cup + 2 table spoon

salt

Heat the butter in the microwave (about 10 seconds), add flour, powdered sugar, salt, and eggs. After mixing well, put it in the refrigerator (about 10minutes), and press it into an egg tart shape with a mold.

Ingredients for custard:

1½ cup of water

¾cup of sugar

4eggs

Half a cup of milk.

Boil water with sugar and let cool, add eggs and beat well, then add cold sugar water and milk, and sieve.


Making:

1. Pour the egg custard mix into the egg tart cups

2. Set oven to 395F, bake for 28 minutes

相信大家都吃过蛋挞,蛋挞具有香甜的味道和外酥里嫩的独特口感,满满的幸福的味道,深受大家的欢迎。也是港式茶楼必备的美食甜品之一。今天请来大厨Nancy为我们展示港式蛋挞的做法,欢迎小伙伴来观摩学习哦!

今日美食: 【港式蛋挞

日期/时间:5/22 (周六) 下午4:00-5:00

Nancy(林太),广东湛江人,勤奋持家,贤良淑德,热爱生活,心灵手巧,能建设一个完美的后花园,还喜爱钩织精美的玩偶,和精致的帽子,更做得一手美食。

准备原料(16蛋挞)

1.  蛋挞皮:无盐牛油1条,糖粉 半杯,鸡蛋 1个,  面粉 1+½ 杯 + 2 汤匙,  盐 少许。

微波炉加热牛油(大约10秒),加入面粉,糖粉,盐,鸡蛋。拌匀后放冰箱(约10分钟),用模具压成蛋挞型。


2.  蛋液:水 1杯半,白糖 ¾ 杯 , 鸡蛋 4个,牛奶 半杯。

水加白糖煮沸后晾凉,加鸡蛋打匀,再加晾凉的糖水和牛奶,过筛


制作步奏

1.  将蛋液注入蛋挞皮中

2.  烘炉395F,烘烤28分钟
